On behalf of the Latino Literacy Project, we would like invite families to participate in a workshop series that will give families the opportunity to read bilingual books rich in Hispanic literature and then share the stories with their children at home. Enrolled participants will borrow books, receive craft materials and guidance in creating a family album. Meetings will take place every Wednesday, starting October 18 at 8:15 am in room 5. Thanksgiving Food Box Assistance provided by the Salvation Army The Salvation Army is organizing an event for families in need of Thanksgiving food boxes. The event will take place on Saturday November 18th at the Toyota dealership in Poway. The food boxes would include Thanksgiving staples such as, packaged canned and dry goods. Along with a $15 Walmart gift card to purchase a turkey. Join us to this months Restaurant Night at Shakey’s in Escondido tomorrow, Thursday October 12, between 4 pm - 9 pm. Shakey’s will donate 25% of qualifying sales or $10 for every $40 spent on food purchases. Take out purchases will also count towards our fundraiser. Get your jogging shoes on! Our PTA Jog-A-Thon is tomorrow. It's PTA's biggest student involved fundraiser, with the money helping students this year. On Jog-A-Thon day, students have the opportunity to run, walk, or skip as many laps as they can complete in 20 minutes. Please support students on a per lap basis or with a flat donation. It's easy to share the link with family. Prizes will be awarded to 5 students with most funds raised.Students will turn in collected pledged money between October 5 -20 if pledged funds by lap. On Friday 9/29 Wear ORANGE for “Live Like Larry” Day This is a day to honor one of Conway’s EPIC teachers, Larry Welch. Although Mr. Welch is no longer with us, he brightened Conway with his signature ORANGE shirts and Crew Spirit EVERYDAY. Tomorrow let’s “Live Like Larry” and do the same.

We are thrilled to bring back this special day to our families. Family Day at Lunch is a day where families can bring their student lunch or purchase lunch from our cafeteria to enjoy. Food purchased outside or made at home will be for your student only and must not be shared with other students. We also ask that younger sibling guests be supervised by parents/guardians at all times. As a reminder, play equipment is for Conway students only.
