LLA Winners! #1 in Engineering Task

We are so proud of our 5th and 8th grade teams and their first team participation in this district-wide STEM Competition.  Both teams were happy and excited to represent all of us and they demonstrated all of the core values in their focus, determination and supportive group dynamics.

Our 8th Grade team scored #1 in the Engineering Task competition!!!  Designing a circuit board, group members Josue Santamaria and Rosalynn Alegre represented the team and worked magnificently to give us such a cherished and hard won victory in our first year of competition.  Congratulations!

Our 5th grade students persevered in their task after a blue-tooth issue almost wiped out their data for the Robotics obstacle course competition.  They utilized a growth mindset in lieu of the technological obstacles and were able to quickly recover and reprogram in time for the scoring.  This was an absolute victory in principle!

We deeply wish to thank Jeanine Roberts, Christy Stringfield  and Lisa Magana for their kind mentorship and participation in the coaching of these two teams!  We really owe a debt of gratitude to all of our awesome families for their presence and support as well.

What an amazing day!
LLA is promoting itself with great group development, STEM learning and the ability to learn differently!
