Our students had a wonderful hands-on experience in grades K-5 on Thursday with our wonderful new Music Teacher, Mr. Liam Keefe. Mr. Keefe built a great rapport with the students and taught them about every single component of the ukulele.
Students learned about the tuners, the nut, the fretboard, headstock, neck, & body. Students were very tuned into the learning They couldn't wait to learn how to tune it and recognize the names of the strings and the sounds it made!
You can see the joy in their faces when discovering musical instruments for the first time!
The students in 6-8 were treated to a different exploration with the Mac program Garage Band. Students learned how to create beats and rhythms, compose musical arrangements and edit it all together.
