Felicita Elementary recently welcomed ABC 10 News Story Time, where third-grade students met news anchor Jared Aarons, learned about his career, and heard firsthand about the importance of reading. At the conclusion of the program, every student selected five books to take home, helping them build their own personal library and fostering a love of lifelong reading. This is another example of how our EUSD students are able to engage in authentic learning experiences that inspire them to see how their learning connects to the world around them. Hearing from a news anchor makes the EUSD Framework for the Future come to life as students engage with real-life professionals about their field. It was a wonderful morning!
