MONART Program

During the first four weeks of school, LLA students were treated once again to the skilled instructors who were resident artists of the virtual MONART program.

Students were given explicit lessons and time to practice with the techniques, styles and forms during enrichment time.  The samples featured here are from Ms. Stringfield's 5th grade class.  Exquisitely well done, kids!

Everyone is indeed an artist and can polish their skills if they are provided with the fundamentals and proper practice.  There is really no truth that some were born with artistic talents and abilities and some were not.  That's a fixed mindset that has a permanent, static sense of identity and capability that cannot be altered or changed.

We embrace a growth mindset that believes in the power of YET.  I may not be a master artist yet, but with exposure to extraordinary programs and teachers like MONART and with effort and practice we can all equally develop into an artist that continues the path of mastery.

Bravo!!!
